Frequently asked questions
Grouped answers on booking, sessions, delivery, rights and payment. If anything differs, our terms and conditions and privacy policy apply.
Booking and schedule
How do I reserve studio time?
Use contact, call 020 737 0284 or email [email protected]. State the service, preferred period and a short brief. Within 1 working day you receive a slot proposal and written quote based on rates on Services.
When is my booking firm?
After written acceptance of the quote and receipt of the 30 % deposit. Without deposit we hold the slot only for the period stated on the quote.
Can I record outside regular hours?
Regular hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00. Closed Sunday. By appointment only. Sessions outside those times may be possible by arrangement and with a surcharge on the quote; we never silently run overnight without you asking explicitly.
How fast do you reply?
We aim for 1 working day on weekdays within Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 11–18. Complex mix or master projects may take slightly longer if we need to review stems first.
Do I need stems ready before mixing?
Not for a quote, but before we start: read deliver stems for mix and send a sample folder if useful. Our engineer checks naming, sample rate and headroom before scheduling hours.
During the session
How long to record one vocal track?
For a three- to four-minute pop or rap song, plan roughly two to four hours of Vocal and speech recording when arrangement and lyrics are ready. More time is normal for stacks or multiple languages.
How many musicians can play at once?
Up to 6 with separate headphone mixes. Larger setups need prior discussion; sometimes drums and bass are tracked sequentially on the same day.
Can I bring guests?
One or two visitors in the control room is usual. More people can affect acoustics or focus; tell us in advance so we can plan seating and monitoring.
Do you provide instruments?
We provide basic monitoring, DIs and standard microphones. Bring your own guitars, bass and drums unless the quote says otherwise. Vocals and string instruments are always yours.
What if we run over time?
We extend only at your request and when the next slot allows. Extra time is billed per started half hour at the hourly rate of the booked service on Services.
Files and delivery
What file format do I receive?
Work prints and masters usually as 24-bit WAV at the project sample rate (by default up to 96 kHz). Other formats on request if listed on the quote.
How do you deliver mixes and masters?
Via secure download link or to your cloud drive. Large band sessions may use several folders; we label by song and take where possible.
How long do you keep session data?
12 months after the last relevant session on our systems, then we delete project files. Keep your own copies of anything you need for release.
How many mix revisions are included?
By default 2 feedback rounds after the first mix delivery. Extra rounds or stem fixes are billed per hour or per track as on the quote.
Can I take raw takes on my own drive?
Yes if your drive meets our speed and format requirements and is virus-free. Raw multitracks also stay in our archive within the retention period.
Rights and use
Who owns the recordings?
After full payment for the agreed services, rights in recordings made for you transfer to you as set out in terms. The studio does not claim co-ownership of your music.
May I use studio material in demos?
Unpaid or partly paid deliveries are work in progress; commercial release only after full payment and written confirmation of final masters.
Do you use my audio to train AI?
No. We do not use client recordings to train machine-learning models and we do not create voice clones without explicit written consent from the voice holder.
What if several artists sing one track?
Everyone signs our studio release or provides management approval where required. If splits are unclear, we note that on the quote.
What about privacy in podcasts?
Conversations may contain personal data. You are controller for publication; we process only what the session requires, see privacy policy and optionally data processing agreement.
Payment and cancellation
Which payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer for deposit and balance; card in the studio on the session day where available. IBAN and reference are on quotes and invoices from Micracoriva B.V..
When is the balance due?
Consumers usually on the session day before start or on mix/master delivery. Business clients within 30 days of invoice unless agreed otherwise.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Yes, site rates and quotes include 21 % VAT unless explicitly marked for B2B reverse charge. Ex-VAT amounts are on Services.
How do rescheduling and cancellation work?
More than 7 days before start: free. Between 7 days and 48 hours: deposit carries once within 6 months. Within 48 hours: deposit remains due except force majeure. Details in terms.
Can minors record?
From age 16 with written consent from a parent or guardian who books and pays. Younger only by arrangement with an adult present for the entire session.
