Podcast and interview recording targets intelligible speech without obvious room splash. Round-table mics with pop filters give each guest a dedicated track for clean edits later.

Corporate series, non-profit conversations or independent shows in Dutch or English — we schedule on Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 11–18 near the Jordaan canals. Post-production can be booked at the editing rate right after recording.

How it works

  1. Define the format

    Describe length, speaker count, language and deliverables (WAV, MP3, platform specs). We quote €285 or hourly studio via contact.

  2. Table setup

    Matched mic distance and gain, light monitoring for the host so nobody hears themselves too loud. Headphones available for between-take checks.

  3. Record

    We mark chapters, retakes and asides. Water breaks matter on long talks; the engineer keeps levels consistent.

  4. Edit and export

    Optional editing at €65 per hour of recorded audio — trim silences, tame plosives, no editorial rewriting unless you supply cuts.

Typical projects

Interview seasons, internal comms, research podcasts, panel talks and live-to-tape conversations for later release. No live audience in the room. Business clients receive 30-day payment terms after VAT validation.

Need a sung intro? Combine with vocal recording in the booth the same day — ask for a bundled plan.

Room and capture

Treated walls keep phone playback clean. Four seats, each with its own track so one speaker can be removed later without ruining others. HVAC is off during takes when possible.

Remote guests over Zoom are possible but quality depends on their connection; broadcast-grade remote needs dedicated gear. We do not shoot video — audio first.

Your prep list

Send a rundown with questions, names and brand pronunciation. Agree intro/outro and music rights — we do not clear commercial tracks. Guests should be 16 or accompanied per terms and conditions.

Editing scope

Basic editing means trimming long silences, consistent levels and agreed exports. Editorial rewriting stays with you. Editing bills €65 per hour of source audio, not per minute of finished show.

Music under voice is a mixing task with 2 revision rounds in the standard mix package when booked separately.

Delivery and data

Multitrack or stereo WAV; MP3 for review on request. Secure download; retention 12 months unless you request deletion — see privacy policy. We never publish your episodes.

Before you leave we spot-check playback on monitors and a phone speaker. If a chair squeak slipped through, we can redo a line while mics are still live — cheaper than fixing it later at €65 per hour of audio. We confirm naming, sample rate up to 96 kHz and chapter markers you asked for.

If you process guest personal data, you are controller; we act as processor under data processing agreement for business clients on request.

Hours and access

Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00. Closed Sunday. By appointment only. Tram 13 or 17 to Westermarkt; about seven minutes on foot via Bloemgracht toward Goudsbloemstraat. From Amsterdam Centraal, bus 18 toward Slotervaart, get off at Haarlemmer Houttuinen, then five minutes walking. Tell us via contact if you need step-free access — the canal-house ground floor has thresholds; we discuss what works.

One-off vs series

A single interview often fits the €285 block or a few hourly slots. For a ten-episode season we agree fixed days and one producer contact on your side so mic position and room tone stay consistent — listeners notice jumps when they binge episodes.

Longer contracts use a 30% deposit and per-slot cancellation rules in terms and conditions. Send your rundown to [email protected] if you are unsure whether editing hours should be bundled upfront.

Out of scope

Podcast hosting, transcription, translation, marketing, cover art and off-site rental are not included. Music licences are your responsibility.

FAQ

How many episodes fit in three hours?

Depends on length and retakes. One hour-long interview fits easily; two shorter eps work if the script is tight.

Can we bring cameras?

Silent cameras without fan noise are fine. We do not edit video.

Do you transcribe?

No — audio only. Send WAV to a transcription service; we can mark retake sections.

Can we use commercial music as intro?

Only if you hold the licence. We will not embed unlicensed tracks in exports.

Hourly vs session price?

€285 covers three consecutive hours with the same setup. Extra time bills at €99 per hour.

Can we record in English?

Yes. The team works in Dutch and English; send questions or scripts in either language via contact. We do not provide translation of finished episodes.
