Terms and conditions
In short
- A booking is firm once you accept a written quote and pay a 30% deposit.
- Free reschedule or cancellation is available until 7 days before the session; later rules apply in section 7.
- Mix and master projects include 2 revision rounds as described on the service pages.
- Consumers who contract at a distance generally have 14 days to cancel, with exceptions once work has started.
1. Scope
These terms apply to recording, mixing, mastering and podcast services provided by Micracoriva B.V. (trading as Micracoriva) from Goudsbloemstraat 73, Amsterdam. They apply together with the quote or order confirmation you accept. If the quote conflicts with these terms, the quote prevails unless mandatory law says otherwise.

3. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Client | The party accepting a quote, whether consumer or business. |
| Consumer | A natural person acting for purposes outside their trade or profession. |
| Session | A booked time slot in the studio or an agreed delivery window for mix/master work. |
| Deposit | 30% of the agreed amount incl. VAT, due on confirmation. |
| Files | Audio recordings, session data, mixes, masters and related deliverables. |
| Business day | Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the Netherlands. |
4. Quotes and contract formation
Your enquiry via Contact, email or phone leads to a written quote with date, duration, price incl. and excl. VAT (21%), deposit and any special terms. Quotes stay valid for 1 business days unless another period is stated.
The contract is formed when you confirm the quote in writing (email is enough) and the deposit reaches our account. Until then, a time slot is provisional and may be offered to someone else.
5. Prices and VAT
Published rates include VAT unless clearly marked otherwise. Examples: vocal recording from €112 per hour, band recording €595 for a half day, mixing €925 for an EP up to five tracks, mastering €78 per track, podcast €285 for three hours.
Extra work outside the quote (additional hours, extra revisions, stem deliveries) is agreed upfront and invoiced separately. Business clients receive invoices showing VAT ID NL858964314B01.
6. Payment
The deposit is 30% of the total incl. VAT and is offset against the balance. Consumers pay the remainder on the session day or when mix/master files are delivered. Business clients pay within 30 days of the invoice date unless agreed otherwise.
Late payment may incur statutory commercial interest and reasonable collection costs. Until full payment we may withhold final files; raw session material is archived as in section 10.
7. Rescheduling and cancellation
| Timing | Effect |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days before the session | Free reschedule or cancellation; deposit refunded within 14 days if you cancel. |
| Between 7 days and 48 hours before | Deposit may be applied once to a new date within 6 months; otherwise it is forfeited. |
| Less than 48 hours or no-show | Deposit is non-refundable unless we cancel or force majeure applies. |
Send requests promptly to [email protected] or 020 737 0284, preferably confirmed in writing. This does not limit statutory consumer rights; see section 8.
8. Right of withdrawal (distance contracts)
If you are a consumer and conclude a distance contract (email, phone, form), you generally have 14 days to withdraw under EU consumer rules as implemented in the Netherlands.
If you ask us to start before that period ends, you may owe a proportionate amount for work already performed if you withdraw after we have begun. Once a service is fully performed at your request before the period ends, the right of withdrawal may no longer apply. Custom or clearly personalised services may be excluded from withdrawal.
To withdraw, email [email protected] with your name, address and order details. Refunds are made within 14 days using the same payment method where possible.
9. Running sessions
Studio hours: Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00. Closed Sunday. By appointment only.. The live room fits up to 6 musicians at once. Minors aged 16 and over are welcome with written consent from a parent or guardian who books and pays; under 16, a responsible adult must stay for the entire session.
You treat gear and rooms carefully and follow engineer instructions. No smoking or vaping indoors. We may stop a session if safety is at risk; booked time remains chargeable. Damage to studio property caused by intent or gross negligence is charged to you.
Practical guides: prepare for a vocal session and band studio budget.
10. Files, delivery and archive
Unless stated otherwise we deliver common formats (for example 24-bit WAV) via download link or media you supply. Mix and master timelines start when complete, usable source files arrive; see deliver stems for mix.
We keep session and project copies for 12 months after the last activity on the project, then delete them unless extended storage is agreed in writing. You are responsible for your own backups within that window.
11. Revisions
Mix and master packages include 2 revision rounds as described on Mixing and Mastering. One round means a single bundled list of notes processed together. Further rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately.
For loudness targets see loudness for streaming.
12. Intellectual property
Your works. Compositions, lyrics and other material you provide remain yours or your licensors’. You warrant that you have the rights to use all content, including samples and covers, and handle collective-management payments where required.
Recordings. When you initiate and fund a recording, neighbouring rights on the phonograms generally sit with you as producer/commissioner. To the extent we could acquire any rights, we assign them to you after full payment.
Studio materials. Our methods, presets and non-public templates remain ours. We do not use your recordings to train AI models and do not create voice clones without separate written consent.
References. We mention your project as a reference only with your written approval.
13. Liability
We perform services with the care expected of a professional recording studio. Artistic outcomes also depend on your preparation and choices; we do not guarantee commercial success.
Our liability for direct damage is capped at the amount paid incl. VAT for the relevant order, except in cases of intent, wilful recklessness or personal injury. Indirect loss, lost profit or data loss beyond our archive period is excluded where the law allows.
Website information is covered by the disclaimer; contractual terms prevail over general site copy.
14. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure caused by force majeure (power failure, serious breakdown, essential staff illness, government measures). We notify you quickly and offer a new date. If performance is impossible within a reasonable time, unused prepayments for undelivered services are refunded.
15. Personal data
We process personal data under the privacy policy. If you supply guest, musician or host data as a business client, our data processing agreement may apply. The contact form uses FormSubmit; see the legal notice.
16. Complaints and disputes
Report complaints about delivered work within a reasonable time via [email protected] with a clear description. We respond within 1 business days with a proposal.
Consumers may bring disputes before the competent court. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform. We are not obliged to join a statutory industry arbitration board unless the law requires it.
Dutch law applies. We prefer amicable resolution; otherwise the Amsterdam court has jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer law.
17. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on micracoriva.digital dated 14 October 2026 applies to new quotes. Existing contracts remain on the version you accepted unless a change is legally required or agreed in writing.
